Purpose of the Knights of St. Mary
Blessed Virgin Mary

Happy is that soul in which Mary, the Tree of Life, is planted.  Happier still is the soul in which she has been able to grow and blossom.  Happier again is the soul in which she brings forth her fruit.  But happiest of all is the soul which savours the sweetness of Mary's fruit and preserves it up till death and then beyond to all eternity. Saint Louis de Montfort.

The Knights of St. Mary are built upon a strong foundation of devotion to the Holy Virgin and traditional Catholic spirituality and piety.

The mission of the Knights of Saint Mary is three-fold:

(1)  To consecrate ourselves as a brotherhood of spiritual chivalry and a loyal honor guard dedicated to Our Lady Mary.  To venerate the Holy Virgin Mary, the Mother of the Church, and imitate her devotion to her Son;

(2)  To keep alive the old traditions, devotions and spiritual practices of the Holy Catholic Church, many of which are being lost and forgotten.  These include sacramentals like scapulars, holy water, blessed salt, medals such as the St. Benedict and Miraculous Medal, chaplets, the Agnus Dei, lives of the Saints and their spiritual counsels, etc.  These spiritual treasures must be preserved for future generations.  To open the great treasury of traditional Catholic spirituality and share its riches with those who hunger for genuine spirituality amidst the spiritual famine of our times;

(3)  Spiritual warfare against the devil and all his works.
To wage unceasing prayer and spiritual combat against the evil one and the demonic spirits of the under-heavens.

"The devil does not hunt after those who are lost; he hunts after those who are aware, those who are close to God."
